To measure the burnout of the participants, this study uses the ¡®burnout scale' between before and after the whole experiment. Also, to measure the mood state, an 'mood state scale' was used between every single activity. The results of the study are as follows First, there was a significant decrease in the burnout score of the experimental group who conducted self-compassion directed music listening. Second, there was a significant decrease in the negative mood state score of the experimental group who conducted self-compassion directed music listening. On the other hand, the positive mood state score showed an increasing tendency, but was not statistically significant. In conclusion, these results indicate that self-compassion directed music listening has a positive effect on reducing burnout and changing mood state of train drivers.
